Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers notice how comedy works: a clear question, a specific comic choice and an explanation that makes the subject easier to see. Contributions should be original, carefully framed and enjoyable to read at an unhurried pace.
What we welcome
Pitch explainers, thoughtful comparisons, histories of comic forms, close readings of performance choices and practical reflections on making or watching comedy. We are especially interested in subjects with a distinct angle that can be handled without unsupported claims or reliance on confidential material.
A useful pitch
Send a short outline that states the central question, the main idea, why it suits this publication and how you would support it. Mention any relevant experience plainly, without assuming credentials are required. Tell us whether the piece has been published or offered elsewhere.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please pitch before sending a full draft. A submission is not a promise of publication, and we may suggest changes to fit the subject, scope or clarity of a piece.
